Name: Shehzeb Akbar on Jan 28, 2013Comments: It's the strangest phenomenon I have ever seen in the history of mankind. Technically speaking the party that accuses someone of committing some crime can't be involved into any kind of decision making process of the mentioned case but US despite of accusing that poor bloke is making all the decisions about him. The other side this story is another barbarian act of US & that is to take all those people to Guantanamo Bay from Afghanistan & Iraq who are just defending the invasion of America into their land. Well I think they could only be prosecuted in the country they are seized in & this act of US could easily be rated as a war crime in itself. Thirdly to be very honest Canada cares for its economy rather than one single person & the 70% of Canadian exports are exported to US. So its a valid enough reason to not to be too arsed about it as according to US "He is a war criminal".Flag

Name: Aaf Post on Jan 30, 2013Comments: How long does Canada maintain this injustice to a child? After a attack the US doctored the field report to make the 15-year-old to blame for killing of a US soldier. Here Omar Khadrs 10 year long nightmare started. After being tortured in Bagram and Guantanamo he now is held in solitary in Canada. Canada get your facts right and FREE this innocent young man whose youth you already have stolen! http://freeomarakhadr.wordpress.com/about/Flag

Name: Georgie Stagg on Jan 30, 2013Comments: That Guantanamo remains open and 166 men are still being held hostage is a gross abuse of human rights. The US would do well to quit accusing other countries of torture and abusing human rights until it gets its own house in order. The hypocrisy is eyewatering.Flag

Name: Geraldine Cowan on Jan 30, 2013Comments: Canada should not be slavishly following America. Show compassion, please. This young man has suffered enough. Locking up and torturing children is Guantanamo Bay is a disgrace. You should have no part in it. When will the US decide that they have had their pound of flesh? Set him free!Flag
