Name: Kimberly Rife on Nov 21, 2003State: OHCountry: USComments: Heir Taft, I mean King Bob, I'm sorry, I mean Mr. Shaft needs to kiss his political career goodbye unless he shapes up and starts behaving in a manner that befits someone of his political affiliation and position. He talks about the Ohio Constitution "Granting" rights. Our Creator grants rights, the constitution merely acknowledges & affirms those rights. I would expect an alleged Republican to know this, but expecting much from this turkey is aparently asking too much.Flag

He is as liberal as they come and should switch to the Democratic party. He is undermining Republican Solidarity from within and is a great detriment to the GOP.He is dangerous!! Set him straight !!!Flag

Name: John M. Wildenthal on Nov 21, 2003State: OHCountry: USComments: I voted Bush in '88, '92, '95, '99, and '00, Reagan in '80 and '84. I moved to Columbus in May this year. Lo and behold, I've found a Republican Governor that makes Ann Richards (the incumbent Democrat Governor of Texas whom George W. Bush beat) look positively conservative. When she didn't want to sign CHL, she said so. She didn't make up a new excuse when the old one was wearing thin. She didn't raise taxes like Taft, either. Taft thinks the citizens of Ohio or much less trustworthy than those of Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, all of which have shall-issue CHL. He thinks Ohio should stay in the top 10 for tax burden, and then he wonders why employment is declining. If this is the sort of person whom Bush chooses to represent him in Ohio, I'm not voting for Bush.Flag

Name: Gary Thomas on Nov 22, 2003State: OHCountry: USComments: To Whom It May Concern: I and many others are very serious about this issue and our requirements. Personally Mr Taft has acted much more like a Dem than a Republican and he is continually throwing up roadblocks to something he promised us 6 years ago! I have already called and informed your campaign committee once that I would not vote for President Bush unless you used your influence to get him to stop this nonsence. It was those of us wanting Concealed Carry legislation that stoped Mr. Taft from getting his Third Frontier Project and it will be us that stops anything and everything else we target until we get what was promised to us 6 years ago. The reason I refer to Mr. Taft is he has lost all my respect...Flag

I am a life long Republican, but will not vote for Taft or any Taft supporters in the future due to the way he has lied continuously concerning this bill.Flag
