TO THE SPECIAL ATTENTION OF:

ACQUIRE THE BAKER ROAD ADMINISTRATION BUILDING FOR THE ORCHARD PARK COMMUNITY CAMPUS

WHEREAS: Current senior center building is inadequate and not cost effective;

WHEREAS: No place for the community to gather, allowing for intergenerational interaction;

WHEREAS: Currently it costs to use other facilities for special functions and fund raising;

WHEREAS: Parking is very limited and puts participants at risk for bodily injury and vehicle damage;

WHEREAS: Current 2-story building is outdated, poorly designed for specific age groups, limits activities for handicapped individuals, and limits types of events that can be offered and number of participants.

Therefore, Be It Resolved: I urge you to work closely with the Orchard Park school administration to acquire the soon to be vacated administration offices on Baker Road. Among your top priorities as my elected representatives should be the welfare of ALL constituents and finding the appropriate resource for the betterment of the entire community. The Baker Road building will do just that.
