The office was arranged in 1980s such a way that it was felt communication was open. Now it is arranged such a way that feels like communication is not welcomed! This is especially true for the engineers who face the wall and look at the monitor like a hawk. Anyone comes around has to knock or make some kind of noise to get his/her attention. I have no idea who came up with is office furniture arrangement but obviously it has been worse for the communications for sure!
