The Outreach Community & Reform Center (OCRC) -Malden Mosque- led by the OCRC’s board achieved with Allah’s will and your support significant accomplishments in terms of high quality programs and building strong bridges of trust with Muslims and non-Muslims in the surrounding areas. Some of the highlights: Center has weekly youth programs, 170 students in the after school Islamic studies program, weekly lectures, monthly interfaith dialogues, monthly meetings with the city Mayor and city officials, and has recently merged with another Islamic center to unite the Muslims in Malden-Everett areas and create a bigger impact on the local politics. There’s an attack on our center from outsiders who don’t pray nor participate at our center and are threatening to take over the OCRC in any way, shape or form. These people are twisting the truth, using the imam dispute as a way to get people’s sympathy.The OCRC showed nothing but open arms and hearts towards this criticism. However, we do not agree about these outsiders from different mosques entering into a house of worship in a vicious and mischievous way. Acting inappropriately, proclaiming they will take over the OCRC. The OCRC has been and will always be “A Just Community” Quran Chapter Al-Baqra (2), Verse No. (143). The OCRC its members, volunteers, BOD’s, BOT’s all share something in common and aim for one goal, pleasing God -Allah (SWT)- and growing this center to be the ideal example for Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
