| 1054 | Shawn Jones | sdj65@sbcglobal.net | I have played music at the OC Brewery several times over the years and am a strong supporter of this establishment. It's a great place for people to gather and enjoy an evening of live music and food.
All the best,

| 1057 | Naomi Koenig | njcolbaugh@yahoo.com | What??? My husband and I vacation from Minneapolis to Laguna Beach to visit family and friends several times a year. Ocean Ave Brewery is somewhere that our family and friends took us to years ago, and we go there every time we come back. Regardless of residents or non-Laguna residents when did Laguna opt for fascism? Tourism out, having a nice time at a good brewery out, fascism in. |

| 1059 | Anonymous | Anonymous | I think the Ocean Avenue Brewing Company should continue as is! |
| 1060 | Arthur Hernandez | info@artehernandez.com | The contention that Ocean Avenue Brewery caters to non-Laguna Beach residents is absurd. I've had the pleasure of perfoming music there countless times with Nick hernandez, Jasso & Garcia, Donavon, and my own group the Jazz Junkies, and the patrons there are the same people you see at the White House, Marine Room, Sandpiper, Saloon, and other establishments most any day of the week. Sounds more like a witch hunt than a legitimate concern of argument.
Best of luck,
Arte Hernandez

| 1061 | Peter J. French | Street005@cox.net | City planners are once again abdicating their responsibilities by trying to legislate in an area that is really none of their business. Ocean Avenue Brewery has EVERY right to serve non-residents as well as the locals. Many local bands have been "discovered" and givin an opportunity to introduce their music to residents and non-residents alike through performances at Ocean Avenue Brewery.
The City of Laguna Beach already has enough laws and ordinances on the books to enforce any "undesired" behaviours that they might feel is associated with the type of younger crowds, that the Brewery attracts.
Trying to go through the back door to disrupt a legitimate business using the specious argument that the Brewery sells too much beer to too many non-residents is insulting to the free enterprise system, to all of us as Americans, and to the very tourists themselves that our city depends on for its very survival. |

| 1063 | Jim Zimmer | zimmerpi@pacbell.net | I support the Ocean Ave. Brewery and their
commitment to the Laguna Beach community.
Music and dancing are an important part of this community. There are many other type of business which rely on non-residents. That is what a tourist destination represents. To argue that Ocean Ave. Brewery should be restricted is simply ridiculous.

| 1065 | Susan Rice | srice@nb.com | it's a must. we need the release from the mundane ~ |
| 1066 | Carrie Ransom | ransomintl@hotmail.com | This establishment is in the downtown commercial area of Laguna Beach, and whether it's patrons are from Laguna Beach or another neighboring city, the revenue and other business that is brought to the city makes a difference in the economy of Laguna Beach. Please keep the fun alive in Laguna! |
| 1067 | Neil Smith | neil@neil-smith.com | The idea that the activity of the Ocean Avenue Brewery serves non-local interests is ludicrous! Who in world would drive the dark and winding roads they must traverse to get into Laguna Beach just to hear bands play and enjoy a beverage!?
It is obvious to anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together that any local venue serves the interest of the locals. If the locals weren't patronizing the place, they wouldn't have any business and we wouldn't even be having this hearing which is a complete WASTE OF TAXPAYER'S MONEY!
Please find something better to do with your time and our money such as shoring up the hillsides and improving our infrastructure! |
| 1068 | Mindi Marshall | mmarshall@silvhosp.org | I LOVE OCEAN AVE! I lived down there for almost 3 years and went there every weekend with my best friend (Simara, whom you may know) she is a Laguna resident and has been going there forever!
I was there with her back in the day when you had the Salsa Band! And every live band for that matter! And 80's night. It was and still is my favorite place to dance and hang out. It was the best time and I think of it often. I hold Ocean Brewery close to my heart and have many great memeories there. I no longer live in California, but every time I visit I have to stop by. One of the reasons I loved going there was that its full of the same (local) people every weekend. When I moved and a year later came back to visit, I still saw the same people there. I made a lot of good friends, including the people who worked at Ocean. I will support you guys forever! If I could attend the meeting I would. I have told a lot of people about Ocean and everyone who goes there loves it! Music and all!
I totally support the amplified music at the Brewery and so do the loyal customers of Ocean Ave!
Good Luck! Miss you guys!
My Best,
Mindi Marshall |

I've lived here my entire life! |
| 1089 | Anonymous | Anonymous | The nice, great thing about the Ocean Avenue Brewery is that it seems to be a place where "locals" invite visitors or in town guests to enjoy a night on the town in their local Laguna. I have not witnessed just random unkempt non locals flooding the establishment or the downtown streets. Sadly I believe that it has prejudiced roots in that the DJ music it plays is progressive hip hop, this age music and not your standard "good ol' boy" 80's country or classic rock one might find at Hennessey's that has been around for many years as well and ALWAYS has more "disturbances" than clientele of the Ocean Brewery. If there were to be no Ocean Brewery I regret to tell you, you will lose the one establishment that brings this great corner of the world overall inclusive guestmanship.
When a group of people are wanted, it works. When their not wanted (or perceive) not to be wanted or respected, that's when you have people peeing on the street, braking mail boxes, and breaking windows etc. You;ll see and you can't say someone didn't tell you it would happen. Leave it be. Policve it just like The White House ot Hennessey |

| 1091 | BandsOc.com | bands@bandsoc.com | It would be tragic to lose such a Laguna staple - The LB city council should stop leaning so far to the right and remember that LB is, for the most part, still a sleepy litle artist village by the sea. |
