103 Patrick M. Woodpatrick@yavitzco.comA local establishment that brings in not only local money, but outside of town money in a possible desperate economic time seems like a no brainer to keep. This is an establishment that is building a tradition that multiple generations have enjoyed and can continue to enjoy.

107 Laura Cooperms_coops@yahoo.comI believe the artist culture within Laguna Beach to one of the most unique and valued of its kind. Specifically, the musician artists of the area are extremely talented and gifted, and the people and residents of Laguna should be honored that such talented artist exist within our community.

109 Jason Careyjbay26@hotmail.comOcean Avenue is a gem in Laguna. It has combined art, music, dancing, and fundraiser traditions over the years helping promote the artistic local vibe this town has stemmed from.

116 sunny elizabethsunnyskatemama@yahoo.comDecember 5, 2007 The Ocean Avenue Brewery Entertainment Director and local clientele of the Brewery organized the Rise and Shine Benefit Concert in August 2006 that paid for my medical treatments and helped me provide for my three children over a period of 5 months. As a result, I am currently stomach cancer free and have been able to remain in my residence here in Laguna Beach of 9 years. The Ocean Avenue Brewery has sponsored many like-charity events and safe entertainment in our community for more than a decade. For example, during the time that I served as the Education Chair Person of our Laguna Beach Surfrider Foundation Chapter, the Ocean Avenue Brewery was a key establishment that raised-and has continued to raise awareness as well as money for our local environmental issues through live entertainment. In fact, the Brewery aided in funding the water testing program that is still in place for our community-involved high school students at Laguna Beach High School. In addition, the Ocean Avenue Brewery has consistently promoted our Laguna Beach Artists Community, hosting exhibits and art auctions combined with live entertainment that draws a mix of successful entrepeneurs, athletes, and artists born and raised here in Laguna Beach. Lastly, the Ocean Avenue Brewry is the ONLY nightlife spot in Laguna Beach that caters SPECIFICALLY to Laguna Beach locals with DANCING music hosted by LOCAL and LIVE D.J.s! Thus, the Brewry is set apart as a business in town that provides a unique and safe nightlife environment for it's Laguna Beach residents. Please recognize the important, active role that the Ocean Avenue Brewery's LIVE entertainment plays in our community, and please maintain it as such. It is the LIVE entertainment at the Ocean Avenue Brewery that brings our community together at this safe hub of local activism. Thank You, Sunny Elizabeth Taylor Beneficiary of Ocean Brewery-organized Fundraiser, also Former Education Chair Person for Laguna Beach Surfrider Foundation Chapter, also Regular participant in local charity events sponsored at the Ocean Avenue Brewrey

119 AnonymousAnonymousI have participated in a number of Ocean Ave Brewery fundraisers, that have generated substantial donations and awareness to great causes. Offering music and dancing provide the appropriate draw that enable great events to occur. As a dining establishment, OAB has a great ambiance and shutting off any music, even at low levels, would be a disservice to all the local patrons and visitors who value it.

124 Mark Kellymkelly@designica.comI have lived in laguna for 16 years - Ocean Ave Brewery has become a local landmark especially when family and friends come to town. The atmosphere and vibe of the place is what made it special. Slowly but surely the "local" laguna is disappearing.

126 Dan Castillodreadedwhitemexican@yahoo.comThis is ridiculous! I've been going to Ocean Ave for years to watch music and most of the people playing are locals from town. There is a huge local crowed every time I go and it's almost like a high school reunion. Banning music from Ocean Ave is just one more thing that will add to Laguna becoming that much less unique!

134 Nikki Pallesennikki.pallesen@gmail.comOcean is a landmark in Laguna and it would be totally wrong to compromise their business by stipulating that thier music be restricted! As a resident of this City I support Ocean Ave! Thanks! Nikki

138 Jane Bentleyjanechew1@hotmail.comThe Brewery has done some amazing fundraising for very worthwhile projects that affect, not only the visitors to Laguna, but the locals as well. Please do not shut down a business that not only provides entertainment but contributes to the community as well.
139 Piroja Iranipeeoui2@aol.comWhat is this footloose? Music and dancing are part of what make us human.
140 Arty Hirschartysmarty@gmail.comTo whom it may concernat The Republic of Laguna Beach! Save Ocean Brewery from your meddling ineptness and allpow them to conduct the very fine business that they have presented to the locals and visitors of Laguna Beach with their fare and fine sounds. Spend more time kicking butt with the degenerates who rowdy at the beach and street areas of downtown with thier loud profanity and begging. Hire them to sweep the streets with brooms instead of sending out a machine that resembles a Zamboni to do an ineffective at best job. We don't have ice in Laguna! Dedicate Forest Avenue street as a no parking no driving street and allow it to become a downtown walking and street mall that would enhance the flavor of Laguna and be more conducive to locals and visitors alike. Stay out of business's business and be more like a local government for the people that does good for its constituents instead of meddling with law suit after law suit due to the meddling council and their crony's.
141 Elizabeth Haredougandliz@cox.netMy husband I have been patrons of the Ocean Avenue Brewery practically since it opened. We no longer go there much in the evenings, admittedly, but do still frequent the restaurant for weekend lunches with our 5 children, friends and extended family. We love the casual friendly atmosphere, food and good beer. The infrequent nights that we do go to the brewery for dancing have always been trouble free, well managed and overall good fun. We would all be so sad if the brewery could no longer support itself.
142 Gary Priestgepriest@gmail.comHaving been a Laguna Beach resident for the past 14 years and a patron of Ocean Avenue Brewery since its first opening, I must lend my support to the petition to keep live amplified music playing at OAB. I have been entertained by the musical offerings of OAB, from DJ's to live bands, over many years and losing this venue would take a lot of heart out of the night scene in Laguna Beach. Why would OAB be singled out for the exclusion of live amplified music and dancing when there are so many other locations in town that do the same? OAB has provided some of the most entertaining and differentiating events to the Laguna scene like Jasso & Garcia, Just Jinger and others, as well as one of the only DJ and dance scenes in the city. How can the city say that OAB primarily serves non-residents? Where's the basis for that assumption? Can it not be just as easily argued that Sundays at The Marine Room caters to outsiders with Harley Davidsons? Would they want to close down that tradition too? Where's the distinction between the two and who has the right or information to make that distiction and determine the fate of a local business that many people in Laguna frequent and appreciate?
143 AnonymousAnonymousPlease allow the Ocean Avenue Brewery to continue to provide live music and dancing to the local community! They do wonderful things- like benefit events to help protect CA state parks. Please continue to support them. Thank you!

149 Jason Watsonwatto-paxos@cox.netThere are only two or three real "local" spots to dance and have a good time, the Ocean Ave Brewery is at the top of the list! Please do not take away what little live music we have left in this town. The Brewerys local vibe is special, lets keep it that way! Jam on......
