The province finally agreed to open the HOV lanes to motorcycles and it feels incredible to see our persistence pay off for every rider on the road. This win belongs to all of you who kept the pressure on when skeptics told us it was a lost cause. Keep an …
The Ontario Confederation of Clubs is seeking your support as part of a proposal that would encourage the Government of Ontario to allow single rider two-wheeled vehicles access to the 400 series highway HOV lanes established in the Province of Ontario. The proposed change to the current HOV access rules would reduce vehicle emissions, increase fuel economy and help ease highway traffic congestion. Kindly add your name to our petition and assist the OCC in this worthwhile cause that will ultimately benefit all Ontario motorcyclists.
We are approaching the one thousand signature milestone and hitting that mark will prove to the Ministry that our community is united. Please post our link to your social media feed to help us cross that line before we submit the final proposal.

Seeing one hundred people sign this in such a short time really shows how many of us are tired of sitting in gridlock while our bikes are ready to move. This issue has kept me frustrated on my daily commute for years and it feels good to finally see so many others feeling the same way.

Hitting that first hundred signatures will show the ministry exactly how many of us rely on these bikes for our daily commute. Please get this in front of anyone else who rides so we can cross that mark before the end of the day.

Safety. Less traffic and congestion. Safety! Look at how empty those HOV lanes are, while the rest of the lanes are parking lots. How would you like to be stuck in that mess on a motorcycle? I can keep myself safe, but I can't always keep myself safe from others on the road.

Please let motorcycles with one rider access to HOV lanes. A single rider takes up less space on the road, emits less pollution. Also the position of the HOV lane is the safest lane to ride in as there is no chance of being cut off from the left.

The lanes were put in place to lower the Carbon Footprint. What puts out less than a car? A motorcycle.
Plus, a lot of motorcycles are air cooled and heat up in slow traffic.
It will also cut down on motorcyclists lane splitting and using the side of the highway.
