Luis Suarez of Liverpool FC was banned for 8 games by the Football Association with racially abusing Patrice Evra of Manchester United. Yet, the 100+ pages investigation report demonstrated that the verdict was reached with very limited support of solid evidence, questionable reasoning, amateurish linguistic analysis, and the lack of consideration of cultural differences. The harsh eight matches ban can hardly be justified under such circumstances. In contrast to Suarez's ban, Evra walked away as an apparent victim despite his using of racial/ethnic remarks against Suarez. It raises the questions if the spirit of anti-racism, adopted by the FA, is only limited to offences against black players, instead of taking care of all players of any skin tones, nationality and ethnicity. To avoid even more unfair treatment, Liverpool decided to drop the opportunity to lodge an appeal. It is disappointing that the club and the player decided not to fight till the end for the justice, but understandable as it is unlikely to find justice under such a system. By signing the petition, you state your strong objection to English Football Association's lack of objectivity and professionalism in the investigation of the Suarez-Evra case, and demands the English FA to: 1) re-investigate the case 2) review the anti-racism rules and the expertise the association possesses for the execution of these rules
