IMVU is a great program that lets people from all over the world meet and chat in a realistic 3d environment. However one aspect of the program is severely lacking in realism. All of the avatars on IMVU are dangerously skinny and do not accurately represent reality, not to mention promote a role model for impressionable children and teenagers. What about those of us who do not fit into the tiny mold that IMVU has created Those who are not ashamed of their weight, and are perhaps even proud of the way they look There needs to be more representation of people of our weight on this fine program. The popular program "Second Life" allows users to choose their own weight, so why not IMVU Why does IMVU persist in its weightist ways In short, people should be able to choose their avatar\'s weight right up to, and including, the "obese" levels of weight! Just because the mainstream culture says my weight is "dangerous to my health" and can "cause serious medical problems" doesn\'t mean that I\'m not sexy! If you agree with my point of view then please sign this petition. If us beautiful and bulgy band together we can make a difference and end weightism in the world, one computer program at a time!
