| 1203 | Beverly | Logan | teacher, citizen | | 03 | OR | My daughter is married to a Cuban. His family was unable to even dream of attending their wedding here, and our family had no hope of travelling to Cuba for a wedding there.
When his grandfather was dying, my daughter and son-in-law were prohibited by law from travelling to be with him.
US sanctions/embargo are destructive to families and the eonomies of both the US and Cuba. They serve no benefit whatsoever and have undermined US interests and certainly the material security of the people of Cuba.
I strongly urge you to revoke the unfair restrictions on travel to Cuba, both for Cuban Americans and Americans in general. Then, please abolish the embargo altogether. Thank you. |
