3 KathleenHowerChief Executive Officer / co-founderGlobal Links01PAAn intelligent, moral, policy driven by the best interest of the Cuban and American people, rather than a punitive, ineffective one is long past due. In dialog and engagement will the goals of both of our peoples be met. Our Cuban policy should be more in line with other countries with whom we differ on important issues but continue to trade, pressure and engage.
4 JeanneLemkauProfessor Emerita of Family Medicinewright state university01OHPlease help liberate the US population from current travel restrictions. I want to be able to freely travel to Cuba and believe travel is a basic right to be affirmed by your administration. Thank you.

20 RomalueKeithMS01FLI cannot understand why we can go to places like Iran and Iraq, but we cannot go to Cuba. I think being from a "free" country we should be able to go where ever we choose. Please abolish the restrictions when you take office.

26 Barbaravan Davis01ILMy parents visited Cuba when it was still legal for Americans to visit there, as mine did, on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. Mother brought home a brass birdcage with a singing toy bird, and Cuban music recordings. I remember those songs these 55 years later, and think to myself, "The sadness is in the absence of Cuban songs and rhythms. The lands whose people hear those songs are happier than ours, where a long, starved silence has reigned." In this way I have stayed connected to the Cuban people, in song and rhythm, and hope that you will let us meet again, someday soon.

34 scotsmithtech supportcsu01COEliminate all travel restrictions and open up trade relations. The 47 year embargo has failed to make any meaningful changes except to exacerbate Cuban suffering.

38 NormanPearlmutter01NYFULL NORMAL RELATIONS WITH CUBA. In addition to an early repeal of travel restrictions for Cuban-Americans, an early return to the pre-2004 people-to-people travel guidelines for all groups could serve as an early step in opening up full relations over time. These trips did so much for "diplomacy," so needed at this time. Also must loosen the cash-payment rules of trade, and repeal Helms-Burton.

42 LisHansenRetiredNone02Most of my family and many friends are U.S. citizens! Several friends were born in Cuba, some would love to go back for their first visit, and others would like to go back to visit family whenever they wish! And whenever an elderly family member or friend is ill! I have always supported freedom for ALL Americans to be allowed to travel to Cuba, just as I, a Danish-born Canadian can! And, I truly believe that ending the embargo is the best way to go! The people in Cuba have suffered for far too long....long before Castro took the reigns from Batista! I also would like EVERY American to be allowed to send money and other goods to friends, as well as to family in Cuba. I have been to Cuba, as have all my sons, grandson and other family & friends. The People in Cuba NEEDS to SEE that others care....not just hear that we do! Cuban-born people and all others, living in all other countries can visti their families...Americans should too!
