Name: Andrea Potter on Jan 7, 2006Comments: A big garden area on the Kapiti Coast, ideas on coastal and xeriscape gardening would help. Also something to encourage the kids to get into the garden and get over the fear of white tail spiders that is drilled into them at school. A project for them to do perhaps, with different ideas each week. The format of Maggies Garden show was always good, however it certainly doesn't have to be that. Anything would be better than what we have at present!!Flag

Name: Jan Edgar on Jan 9, 2006Comments: I too am fed up that there are no real gardening shows....Ian Scarrow was one many years ago though it was before I was VERY interested in gardening I still enjoyed watching it. I am with you re the quick fix makeover. Only the lucky (sometimes) few benefit. I want real gardening programmes. How to propergate seeds maybe. Growing vegetables, flowers, whatever you are into but yes, bring back the REAL gardening shows. Why on earth did they drop Maggie Barry & co.Flag

The items covered in this would be great for NZ as they cover a huge variety of gardening topics, eg veges, design, espalier, small gardens, formal and informal, etc etc, plus I would love to hear from experts who can elaborate on topics for more understanding of particular subjects.Flag
