   Comments: I agree with the sentiments above. I believe its unfair to punish the people of Fiji, those who really have not had anything to do with the coup. I think that would solve nothing and that New Zealand being one of the Big Brothers in the pacific ought to not shy away from their duty to help their pacific neighbours - Fiji - the people not the people who instigated the coup - the army.

    Comments: Another sanction undermines our ability to get out of this 'mess.' If you want to ... perhaps place more controls on aid given such that you are able to ensure that the intentions of the aid has been fulfilled. Scholarships and other such aid should NOT be reduced for you are denying the right to education for some poor yet meritorious student.

    Comments: Face it, Qarase government was a corrupt. FRANK Bainimara is on the right path to bring Fiji back to prosperity. Please look into the politics of Fiji and understand the situation. Fiji needs ppl like Bainimara.

    Comments: Please do not hurt the local citizens of this country as there were not part of the military take over. By allowing further sanctions NZ is only making matters worse as all Pacific Islanders have this kinship relationship between family memebrs and it will trickle down the ladder.

    Comments: I don't think it is neccesary to have these sanctions from what I have read Bainimarama has put fiji on the right track and they are heading towards democracy in 2014 I don't think New Zealand should argue with them about that let them prove that they are heading towards a return to democracy we should be extending a helping hand as a big brother and as a kiwi I believe we should show some support to the people of fiji rather than hurt the average citizen it is simply unfair. There needs to be more dialogue between New Zealand and Fiji so New Zealand gets a better understanding of the situatuon
