Comments: Please let's have more nuanced discourse and less of a binary oppositional attitude when looking at art and artists. We do not need to perpetuate the hierarchy of the past.

Comments: Assemblage is not an invention. Assemblage is a method of organization. Any discussion of the invention of assemblage would have to take place in an anthropological context. To use it in a contemporary art context is arresting indeed.

Comments: While agreeing with all of the raised points, I don't believe that the NYTimes will change their editorial standards, so this feels like another windmill action, such as that is, here is my signature.

Comments: Clearly this individual has not read contemporary art historical critique, such as Linda Nochlin's "Why Are there No Great Women Artists". Anyone working as a professional in the art world is aware of current works on art historical revisionism

Comments: They have definitely identified a bias which i've noted the news media has long since abandoned any pretentions of a lack of it. Blatant and consistent bias smacks of a lack of professionalism better relegated to tabloid fodder. While it has become more and more difficult to separate important critical voices from malcontents this should be an obviously marked turn and a clear separation is in order. Thank you, ~Tasha Hanna
