Dear Tony Scott, We the undersigned, THE FANS, of the original AND CLASSIC movie THE WARRIORS, ask that you do not go forward with plans to change the location from NYC to LA for your remake. Please remember that NYC was a character in the original film. All of the fans agree that a remake in LA will not be the same. We know for a fact that A LOT of us will not go to see your film (the much needed box office bucks and DVD sales) if you change the location. It is one thing to remake a classic, but to remove one of the most important characters, makes it not a re-imaging or remake, but a entirely new movie with the same name. The same as the NYC SUBWAY was a character in THE TAKING OF PELHAM 123,  you knew you could not change the location to LA, which you could have, because you knew IT WOULD NOT HAVE WORKED. Changing the WARRIORS to LA won't work either. We the undersigned ask that you pay homage to our classic movie and keep the location NYC. If you do, please know that we will do everything in our power to help  your picture be a box office success. Thank you.
