I believe that NYCDOE students and teachers have worked very hard this whole school year and deserve a 3 to 5 day school break in the month of May. There are many reasons for this. First of all, it is not our fault that, unfortunately, Hurricane Sandy struck in October. We had our vacation in February cut off because of this incident. We could use this break to gain the days we lost in February's break. Second of all, we have worked hard so we deserve a 3 to 5 day break in May to just relax and forget about the troubles we may encounter. Another reason I believe we deserve a school break is because I believe that 3 to 5 days will not harm our learning experience. We learn enough already. And by the way, for anyone who tries to sue me for this, this is my first amendment right, so you can't do that.
