Comments: We need to build more schools now to accommodate the growing population of the Upper Westside and Harlem. Classes are already extremely overcrowded and new children can not gain seats in their neighborhood zoned schools. It is totally unacceptable that the city has let developers build new housing stock without planning to accommodate the educational needs of the children and families that will be moving into them.

Comments: Goodafternoon: What I do not understand is why are you people are not advocating for all children to learn at the same level Charter & Public, because we all will be living in the same world and we will be depending on them to take control of the economy, so why isn't everyone on the same page! Some of these charter schools are out of control with policies and unbelievable demands that is being made on the children. God help us!!!!!!!

Comments: Send me as much info on keep class sizes small. We are currently fighting for our class sizes to stay small. Our school board is thinking their only option is to let teachers go.

Comments: My twin daughters each have 25 kids in their kindergarten classes. Some of the older grades in the school have as much as 30. Promises were made that have not been fulfilled by your administrations. New buildings are being built and the city needs to plan for additional students by building new schools. While we all appreciate the budget constraints, it is a disgrace to not put first schools and the future of our children.

Comments: "ONE BUILDING, ONE SCHOOL!" Stop putting charter schools in public schools. This is so absurd. Charter schools should be mandated to have their own building/space before getting their charters. I am totally against "co-location." Why is this only happening in communities of color?

Comments: Class size must be reduced. Public school teachers are excellent, much better than private school teachers, but the public school class sizes are way to big.
