| 57 | Anonymous | Flying on a plane with children that have life threatening food allergies is very stressful. If my child has a reaction, time is of the essence (an Epi pen supposedly buys you 20-30minutes), and there is no life saving equipment when you are 10,000 or 30,000ft up in the air.
Some of the airlines have been stubborn on this and this is irresponsible. Don't wait until someone dies. People are fine eating pretzels instead.
And, please, ban tree nuts as well. They are just as dangerous to many people with severe food allergies. |
| 58 | Ruby | I am severely allergic (anaphylactic) to treenuts and if I had the tiniest trace i could die.
These are bombs waiting to explode. |

| 65 | Laura Duke | Please ban all nuts and peanuts on all frights due to if someone goes into anaphylactic shock in mid-air the results could be extremely deadly. My son and I both suffer from a deadly anaphylaxis allergy to peanuts and nuts. Which we do not have to eat anything with peanuts and/or nuts to go into anaphylactic shock. Our Peanut and Nut Anaphylactic Allergy is airborne. Therefore, if someone has eaten peanuts and/or nuts on another flight we couled go into anaphylactic shock just from the residue of someone elses peanuts or nuts eaten hours or even days before. PLEASE BAN PEANUTS AND NUTS FROM ALL FLIGHTS.
Sincerely,
Laura & Brentson Duke

| 72 | Anonymous | My son has never flown on an airplane due to the risk of his health. As long as peanuts are a part of flight he will not ever be on an airplane. |

| 91 | Sarah Beddow | I think that having nuts on a plane is nuts. Imagine the infant whose parents are unaware of a nut allergy who reacts and no one is prepared because no one knew. Why wait for a death to make a reasonable change? While there will always be some level of cross contamination why not reduce the risk before there is a dead person's name attached to a law suit? |
| 92 | Bridget | My son is allergic. We took a family trip to Disneyworld when he was 5. I did not think flying would be any problem, until they passed out the peanuts, still no big deal. Then 100+ people on the plane opened their packets at the same time. He immediately began to cough and his face began to swell. I gave him medicine and covered his face. Pretty scary moments to see if the reaction would subside or worsen. That time the meds worked, what about next time??? |
