SAVE THE NUMBER 4 As you may have already heard, there are plans to terminate the number four bus route. The number four provides an essential service directly to Widney Manor Train station, and the Solihull Sixth Form College. Under the current plans to terminate the Four Service, areas such as Cheswick Green and Baxters Green will lose vital links to Solihull and the Six Form College. Currently the four is the only bus provider in theses areas and under the new plans; it would be replaced by a different bus provider and would come less frequent. As things stand the number four services arrives every half an hour in Cheswick Green under new plans a bus service will only be available every hour, which will notably affect the residents. Also the loss of the route will mean that Light Hall School pupils living in either Monkspath or Cheswick Green will not be able to commute between there homes and the School, located on Hathaway Road in Shirley. There are many alternatives to terminating the service, such as reducing the length of the Route for example, I am sure the residents currently served by the four would rather a less frequent service then an inferior service or none at all. By signing this petition you are showing your objection to the proposed plan, and showing your support for the current service provided by the Number 4. Why Sign the petition �The termination of the familiar Number four will completely change the bus routes servicing Monkspath, Cheswick Green, Baxters Green and Roads around Shirley other than the High Street. �Students of Light Hall School will lose vital transport link to school. �Students of Solihull Sixth Form College living in Baxters Green and Cheswick Green will no longer be able to travel to college directly on a bus. �The termination of the Number four will rob Cheswick Green and Baxter�s Green of its bus link to Widney Manor station. �Patients at Monkspath and Shirley Surgeries will lose the only Bus service directly available outside clinics. (also it is possible to travel between the two surgeries at the moment, but new routes will destroy this).
