   Comments: I was a student of NUIMaynooth from 2006-2010 and every year participated in a dane show in the Aula Maxima, for two years we had to be careful on the stage as part of the ceeling was falling in and there were nails sticking up on the floor. We had to resort to performing in the venue, a very small space in the students union bar. A new building is desperately needed and now is the time to do it, with the opening of the new phoenix canteen and the new library.

   Comments: The present state of the Aula Maxima is a blight on the otherwise beautiful South Campus. It is shameful that NUIM is found lacking in the provision of such basic facilities.

    Comments: As a dedicated member of the Dramasoc for the entire 5 years I spent in Maynooth, I know how much we struggled to put on shows of a high quality and to learn theatrical skills due to a lack of facilities. So many Maynooth students (like myself) go on to study and work in theatre which shows the great interest that lies there. With the introduction of new courses such as the MA in Theatre Production it would be a huge shame not to give the college a huge step forward in theatre training by providing proper facilities to learn.

    Comments: Worked at the tech aspect of Drama soc for years and always felt i had to make do with the Aula. Badly need a new performance space and also somewhere to graduate, The Aula is now dangerous and not fit for any purpose

    Comments: One wonders if the Governing Authority will pay much heed to this petition - it lays out the arguments in terms of the effect on the 'student' body. Maybe consider speaking their language - If it were to be rephrased in terms of 'maximizing consumer satisfaction' it may get more attention.
