Comments: We (Boston WILPF) carried this petition to people at Park Street station in Boston on August 6th. I was dismayed to find how little people knew about the history of "the bomb." I do hope we can make August 6th NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT DAY.

Comments: Yes, Aug. 6th should be a national day of recognition for the atrocities and use of all nuclear weapons. Just fortunate there have been no atomic or nuclear attacks used by other nations than the U.S. since. Let's make it official!

Comments: I support this, but do have one big question. Why not have August 6th as a national day of remembrance of the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and another day as Nuclear Disarmament Day? The first is for remembrance and awareness of the horror; the second is dedicated to our commitment - to eliminate nuclear weapons.
