Comments: It's time, don't you think, to state very clearly that WMD's - in whatever form or whatever circumstance - DO NOT WORK except to build up the egos of the users. Please replace them with whatever it takes to use WMC's - Weapons of Mass CONSTRUCTION - instead!

Comments: Leaders! please pay attenion to VT! WE have been the leaders for many issues including banning slavery, women's sufferage and Civil unions. Having a uclear disarmament day is critical to raise awareness throughout the country of the perils of nuclear arms....and is crucial for our survival on this planet. Please pay heed.

Comments: Believe we should always be reminded of what a dreadful thing happened on this day (even though President Truman believed that would end World War II and prevent many more deaths). All bombs are inhumane when used against humanity!

Comments: I would like to petition the Congress of the United States of America to declare August 6th as a national day of remembrance. August 6th,1945 is the day the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. Sixty-three years have passed and it is time to remember that day so that there will NEVER AGAIN be a nuclear holocaust. We the signers of this petition ask that the United States Congress declare August 6th NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT DAY.

Comments: Disarmament is a worthy goal and the US could be the leader if we started being honest about our nuclear weapons. Let us begin by being honest about bombing civilians in Japan in 1945; let us use this day to remember.
