Name: Pattie Deming on May 3, 2010Comments: Families should stay together! Older siblings always lookout for the younger as well as set a bus routine example. You will be at a bus stop forever waiting for 2 buses to come around, not fair when some families are done at one time at one bus stop!Flag

Name: Pat Zelano on May 4, 2010Comments: Not only is the issue of have children at different schools a difficulty for parents, but an even more important issue is the reassurance a younger sibling has knowing their older brother/sister is also at the school. Young children tend to be nervous with new environments and having an older sibling there to help them and to just be there is a tremendous help until the younger child grows accustomed to the new school.Flag

Name: Kristie Forni on May 4, 2010Comments: I agree with this petition. It doesn't directly affect me since my daughter will be attending half day. However, I would be very disappointed if I were going to paying for full day and would have to send my child to a different elementary school than their siblings. I think siblings should stay together at their designated elementary school district. Thanks. Kristie ForniFlag

Name: NICOLE KUCHAR on May 5, 2010Comments: I totally feel the same way because when my daughter started kindergarten this past September I to was mad because they only had full days at the Batch and i to was upset because at that time i had a full time job and it would be a hassle to drop one kid off at one time and then the other at a diff. school at a diff. time and the times were about 25 mins apart. Therefore in January of this year i had to quit my job because of the fact my daughter was going to reg day kindergarten and i couldn't find a sitter. So on my behalf good luck and I hope your voice gets heard.Flag

Name: Debbie Adams on May 5, 2010Comments: I agree, we have neighbors with kids going to the Hood for the first time for full time kindergarten with no other siblings in the school. I also have a friend with a child who did not get in and would have to go to the Batch. This child has attended the preschool program at the Hood for 2 years. To avoid the school shuffle, my friends have placed their son in half day (which will be difficult with work schedules). I feel the policy should be changed to make it more fair for those who have attended preschool there and those with older siblings attending the Hool. Thanks for your effort. Debbie AdamsFlag
