Comments: The decision to have rugby league clips removed from YouTube is a short sighted and stupid move. YouTube one of the most popular and most visited websites in the world, (not just Sydney, and Brisbane) and is a free access area - how better an avenue to display and "your" product to the WORLD - just foolish, can't believe it. - Jeff Quigley

Comments: so much for promoting the game, NRL. kick NEWS out of the game, and kick out the nitwit that thought it was a good idea to limit exposure of the greatest game of all...

Comments: for crying out loud they removed the higklights of the cowboys first ever match which is stupid cause it was iocver 10 years ago and you have to buy those kind of videos second hand nowdays and the nrl would not even get a cent that way

Comments: An incomprehensible and farcical move from the NRL. Allowing NRL clips on Youtube.com can only serve to increase interest in the great game that is rugby league and this seems to be a petty, narrow minded and backward step on the part of the game's administrators.

Comments: I can't believe the NRL have forced Youtube to take down all videos of rugby league games. I'm a North Sydney Bears supporter and it was great to be able to see highlights of the Bears games. But now they have taken that away from me. Why doesn't the NRL care about rugby league supporters

Comments: It increases interest in the NRL which can only be a good thing. If the NRL gave fans easy access to old footage then yes I can see their point, but it doesn't. What ist has got now is a joke.

Comments: I fail to see what loss the Nrl, or news limited sustains due to some of their content being hosted online, on the contrary it gave great exposure to the game on an international scale. Poor form NRL. Perhaps if they had their own library people wouldn't be forced to use 3rd party websites.

Comments: NRL and Mr Gallop, you have to be kidding. These videos are created by fans of the nrl, youtube gives these fans an outlet, where they can share these videos with other fans and who knows, maybe attract more via this medium. How the hell are you going to lose money via these video's. I have grave doubts of the games future when you keep alienating fans likes this, first its the radio rights and now its this. Wake up you fools.
