We the undersigned scouts, adult scout leaders and concerned citizens hereby
feel it is in the best interest of the national council of the Boy Scouts of
America to replace the current executive board system now governing the BSA
with a more open , accountable, and democratic system of governance. The majority
of the board should consist of \"active duty\" adult volunteer scouters who work
with the scouts on a day to day basis. They should have a voting right at each
and every board meeting. The future of scouting faces too many critical issues
that can not be resolved with the present system.
