Name: Donna Ricci on Oct 14, 2002State: TXCountry: USComments: I have concerns about having Wal-mart located right across the street from the school that my child attends. I'm afraid that creeps will be hanging out in the parking lot looking for children to abduct. I also have concerns about the area being more conjested. It's getting too, too crowded as it is without having Wal-mart move in. There are currently plenty of Wal-marts around our area, and I do shop at Wal-mart every week. As of now I will not shop at Wal-mart & if Wal-mart moves in, I will never buy from Wal-mart again, even if it means I have to spend more.Flag

Name: David Koleci on Oct 14, 2002State: TXCountry: USComments: I live outside of te city limits so I wouldn't have the traffic, the crime, and many others reasons to long to list. Building a Wal-Mart Super Center is not a sound idea to do at that location. It will bring many things to our neighborhood we don't want. Plus, I have 3 no more then 5-7 minutes from where I live. Don't build it! Would you want a Walmart in your back yard I would think not! I will never shop there, or at any Sam's too!Flag

Name: Susan Brown on Oct 14, 2002State: TXCountry: USComments: We already have two other Walmarts and a Sam's within a 5 mile radius. We like shopping at your stores but do not need another one so close to our schools. Our community has so few parks and wetlands, please help to preserve this site so that our children may know more about nature than just what they read about in textbooks. There are other available lots near this area that are not close to schools and protected wetlands (i.e. just on the other side of Beltway 8)Flag

Name: Kari Noser on Oct 14, 2002State: TXCountry: USComments: We will boycott their stores They are a magnet for criminals 10% crime increase WM does not provide security for its customers in their parking lots. Most of their security budgets goes to loss-prevention inside the store, mainly from its own employees. They are bad neighbors They don't care about their employees We don't need another Wal-Mart We don't want a big-box Wal-Mart in our neighborhood. They are saturating the Retail Market to the point they will soon be able to stick us with high prices The traffic from Wal-Mart's 7000 cars and 50 trucks per day will be horrendous Their building will be ugly and they will have outdoor concerts, outdoor sales and outdoor storage containers all over their giant parking lot They are cutting down all of our beautiful trees Their building is as big as five football fields The traffic, crime and pollution from Wal-Mart is bad for our children across West Rd. When WM decides tomorrow they can make more money at another location, they will simply abandon the store and leave the giant building vacant for years rather than sell it to a competitorFlag
