We, the undersigned residents of Wadsworth, Newport Township, or nearby areas became aware of future plans for retail/commercial development. This proposed development starts at Route 173 south to Taylor Street and goes west from Green Bay Road to Blackhawk Trail. We would like the assurances of the Wadsworth Village Board that it will remain part of Wadsworth, IL even if it means the developer would bring in public water and sanitary sewer to these specific business areas if required to keep them in the Village of Wadsworth. Please, we ask the Village of Wadsworth Board to be proactive and work with the developer to achieve the following goals: Protect adjacent home property values by controlling the appearance through \"green\" retail/commercial development practices. We are concerned about: o Privacy o Water quality o Light and noise pollution o Increased traffic Use the valuable tax base generated from this retail/commercial development to fund services provided for Wadsworth, IL, so we the neighbors of Wadsworth avoid a possible future referendum, most notably: o Fire protection o Police protection We do not want this land to be annexed by Zion or Beach Park.
