Name: Diane Davison on Apr 17, 2010Comments: As a resident of Ascot, I am totally opposed to Tesco opening in theHigh Street. Small businesses are already being forced out and more will follow if this ridiculous plan is allowed to go ahead. Parking is already a problem and congestion can only worsen. I feel so angry that the council would allow this to happen. I am one resident who will not ever step foot in this or any other Tesco shop ever again. They are becoming like one big bulldozer flexing their muscles on any land they can get their hands on. Are their £Bns profits not enough?Flag

Name: Diane Davison on Apr 17, 2010Comments: Putting a Tesco in Ascot High Street is already and will continue to put the smaller shop-keeper out of business. The smaller shops are already being elbowed out by one way or another. All this, and where in heavens name will the car parking be? As a resident of Ascot, parking is already congested, a supermarket will vastly increase this problem. I AM TOTALLY AGAINST THIS.Flag

Name: James Naylor on Apr 20, 2010Comments: I see this as an development which threatens a number very good, existing retailers. These do not have the financial resources to compete with TESCO. If we want the High Street to be dominated by one retailer in the future then let them continue with this development.Flag

Name: Paul Hanby on May 2, 2010Comments: Whats the point in having a Tesco express in Sunninghill and then one in Ascot highstreet. How are they going to deliver. There's nowhere to park in the highstreet at the best of time so what are they going to do with a lorry, and what about Royal Ascot? Tesco already have two supermarkets at martin's Heron and Warfield. I actually use Tesco in Warfield and have their club card and use the points we collect to get discounts at say Pizza express in Sunningdale, but i have to say Tesco is like some parasite that is slowly taken over. Not only that Budgen's is a good supermarket that does some good ranges and should be supported. If this Tesco express does open then we should blacklist it and not use it.Flag

Name: David Smith on Jul 6, 2010Comments: The staff, shout, smoke, spit and are generally gross to the rear of this store. Tesco promised this would not happen and it has!! The deliveries on Sunday mornings at &am are not appriciated by the local residents who get woken up. Another tesco promise broken. They said no deliveries on Sundays at the local community feedback meeting. TESCO are liars and bulliesFlag
