Patrick Forristal | I have to visit clients in Croydon on a regular basis and an addition to parking charges together with the other rises in motoring copsts will mean that I will have to increase my prices to local businesses which will have a knock on effect of driving business out of the area.
drew St'clair | no to higher car parking charges
Steve Wild | It's shameful to think that Croydon Council doesn't intervene when monopolies such as NCP (Who incidentally effectively take over the running of what would is a council owned site) set pricing for parking in Croydon. When these charges are set, no thought is given to the effects on business and visitors to the town who will be invariably put off by the already extortionate charges.
Lynn Williams | Maybe a boycott on NCP car parks might be the order of the day, using Public Transport to get into Croydon, and making it clear to NCP that this is totally unacceptable!!
Anonymous | I have a disabled child (without a blue badge) so need to park near to central croydon...additional prices would stop me coming into croydon

Anonymous | It will get to the point when I will go elsewhere to shop and conduct my business.
Anonymous | people are not coming to croydon anymore because of expensive carpark charges as it is ,increase it again and soon croydon will lose all of its trade.then were would the carparks be? oh i know more flats...
john Sayer | As a regular business visitor to Croydon I am appalled at the greed shown by NCP and where possible I will avoid their car parks.
Stan Marshall | I use the NCP car park in Croydon and I find that the rate cahraged is already to high. Any further increase will force me to park elsewhere.

Anonymous | It is about time that NCP reduces or holds the price increases for another year otherwise just as businesses will lose money by fewer customers visiting Croydon, NCP will also suffer also. Croydon Council must use its powers to prevent this increase.

Anonymous | Parking costs are already ridiculously high at NCP and people are not being informed that they can park for free if they spend £60.00 in once transcaction. This should be common knowledge and should be marked on the paying machines
Maud Alleyne | Please stop driving business AWAY from Croydon.

Alan Coates | Increase charges will not only discourage users of Croydon but employeers in expanding further as if loating in Croydon we are all doing it to keep costs down, as it is hardly pretty. Staff travel is an issue with many female staff not feeling safe and cars are the prefered option, if they travel by train what stops them going all the way to Central London creating more quality recruitment issues. Once Croydon is a 21st century town, clean and with attractive buildings and a soul again then make the profits, in the meantime work with the local business that are proping up the ever more empty centre.

Anonymous | I personally have given up shopping in Croydon, because of the exorbitant prices. They are more expensive than parking in central London
