The Petition We truly and strongly believe that the IRB as a whole does not believe in the same VALUES in which the IOC was founded. Listed below are 5 of the 16 Values according to the Olympic Chapter: 1- To encourage and support the promotion of Ethics in sport as well as education of youth through sport and to dedicate it's efforts to ensuring that, the spirit of FAIR PLAY prevails and violence is banned. 2- To act against any form of discrimination affecting the Olympic Movement. 3- To encourage and support measures protecting the health of athletes. 4- To oppose any political or commercial abuse of sport and athlete. 5- To encourage and support the development of sport for ALL. An Olympic Mythology: Apollo, was the god of moral order, was also seen as a protector of his flock from the wolves. The IRB as they have demonstrated in the past and as recently as the 2011 RWC have no interest in promoting and supporting all that the IOC stands for. The Pacific Nations (Samoa,Fiji,Tonga) especially Samoa have time and time again seen the worst in the so call Goliath. IRB have no interest in promoting Ethics and Fair Play. Discrimination against the Pacific Nations and their athletes is well known and documented. From short turn around in between games to conflict of interest and banning athletes for daring to speak out against the double standards to the IRB handing down a fine to an athlete for wearing a mouth piece he's been wearing for 9 months. We believe these IRB rules have handcuffed the Pacific Nations for over a decade. Please reconsider your decision and the affect it will continue to have on not only the 3 Pacific Nations but the 2nd Tier Nations who will never hold the RWC as long as the IRB refuses to change it's rules to give us the same opportunity that has been afforded to the Top Tier Teams. This Petition will be mailed via postal service and email one year from today Oct 5, 2012. If you support our efforts please add your signature below.
