We, the undersigned, are against the introduction of a Central Production Unit (CPU) for the provision of food in halls.
We object for the following reasons:
1) We believe the food quality will decrease in taste and nutritional value.
2) We believe the food will decrease in value for money.
3) We believe the CPU will further homogenise halls.
4) We believe the CPU will have extensive and detrimental environmental impacts.
Additionally, we have not had the survey results from the trials and consultation has come less than 10 days to run before a decision is due. We believe the University should fully consult, in a holistic manner, listening to the student voice on an issue of this magnitude.
I have been spending my nights reading through the experiences you all are sharing about the food in our halls. It is clear that the administration thinks we will just accept these changes quietly without seeing the data from their own trials. They are hoping we get tired of fighting for decent meals but I am not going anywhere.

Seeing this momentum grow proves that I am not the only one feeling deeply concerned about the future of our food. It means so much to know that you are standing with me to protect the quality of our meals.

WHERE IS THE SURVEY DATA??? If it was so good they would share the results with us. This is just about cutting costs at our expense.

This is ridiculous. We pay enough for our meal plans and now we get lower quality food? Not happening.

Dumping mass produced food on us is a terrible idea for the environment and for our health. Keep the current system.

Keep the kitchens local. Everything is turning into a corporate nightmare.

10 days notice is a joke. They know we will hate it so they are trying to sneak it through over the break. Stop the CPU.

The food is already pretty bad as it is. Shipping it in from a factory is just going to make it taste like cardboard. Leave our kitchens alone!
