We, the undersigned, are against the introduction of a Central Production Unit (CPU) for the provision of food in halls. We object for the following reasons: 1) We believe the food quality will decrease in taste and nutritional value. 2) We believe the food will decrease in value for money. 3) We believe the CPU will further homogenise halls. 4) We believe the CPU will have extensive and detrimental environmental impacts. Additionally, we have not had the survey results from the trials and consultation has come less than 10 days to run before a decision is due. We believe the University should fully consult, in a holistic manner, listening to the student voice on an issue of this magnitude.

Kayron Mercieca, United Kingdom8 years ago Comments: Eating in halls is just going to become more monotonous than it already is and students who end up in catered halls are going to have to eat the same thing at Portland Building with their meal card for lunch and also buy food elsewhere, which'll just make the expenses for catered halls utterly pointless.
