Name: Sabrina on Mar 7, 2007Comments: as a parent of two children in public schools, i find this use of the bodysock horrifying. if you as teachers, principals, or school staff allow this into your school and classrooms it should be used for its intended purpose, which supposivly is so children can explore their 3 dimensional space, come on... not just that but it should be for the willing child. i cant imagine putting a child in this confined space for punishment. what are they to learn that through their misbehavior they are forced ( dont tell me they go willingly )into this fabric where they are almost covered head to toe. what ever happened to patience and verbal talk through and timeouts understandably, there are troubled youth..... however, if this is the punishment for acting out or ect., shouldnt all parents be notified and ASKED if their child can be punished in this wayFlag

Name: Jeraldine V. Craw on Mar 8, 2007Comments: I totally agree with parents being informed of every proceedure out of the normal that takes place in the school atomsphere. I am a mother of a child with ADHD now a grown man and with no help from his regular school managed to help him to finish school (in a special education environment) with little discipline and a lot of patience. All children are individuals and should be treated as such. Not ever plan of action works on every child and can cause damage both mentally and physically. Parent's should be listened too more.Flag
