No to back to sleep. Yes, to side to sleep.

My name is Jen McConaughey. I lost my 3.5mth old daughter on August 2, 2007 because she was laying on her back like pediatricians all over are saying to. I think laying your baby on their back to sleep is the most unsafe thing you can do. Lay them on their sides....we should say side to sleep. If my daughter had not been on her back she would be alive today. She is the only child of mine that I have practiced back to sleep with and now she is gone. PLEASE SAY NO TO BACK TO SLEEP! It could save a life. No more mothers or infants should have to suffer or be lost. Lets make our voices heard. Lets make a difference and possibly save a childs life.

7 years ago Comments: I dont think most of thowe doctors these days knwohalf of what htey are talking about. None of my babies ever slept on their back or side until they were old enough to turn and do it themselves. as long as you dont put them on a pillow, or put a blanket up by their head, there is no way they can suffocate. My babies were all tummy sleepers and none of them died from sids. I say lay them on their side or tummy, that is the safest way and mor comfortable for he baby anyway. Evie
