Comments: So important that puppies should not be used for any charities especially at x-mass time.

Comments: While I support the work of the Simon Community and applaud those trying to fundraise for this charity, I cannot and will not accept the sale of puppies! Furthermore, if this puppy sale goes ahead I will demand that home checks be done on the prospective purchasers!!!!!!

Comments: I was shocked and saddened to hear about this fundraiser. With all the shelters in the country overflowing, and Ireland still being known as 'the puppy farm capital of Europe' this just sends out the message that animals are just as disposable as any christmas toys! It makes me feel sick.

Comments: Selling cats and dogs when there are so many out there looking for good homes is just wrong. Doing so for the promotion of a charity is even more dangerous because people will buy them on impulse. Those pups are likely to end up a burden for another charity. Please stop this absurdity!

Comments: As a supporter of Simon and the great work they do, I am totally surprised and abhorred at the fact that they are going to use the sale of 4 puppies as a fundraiser. A dog is for life - not just for Christmas! DO NOT BUY WHILE STRAY DOGS DIE! If this goes ahead, i will no longer support the Cork Simon. Please Simon, reconsider your action, while dog sanctuaries are bursting at the seams! It only serves to encourage the crisis of overproduction!

Comments: I support the good work of the Simon Community - but this method of fundraising is anathema. It must be stopped at all costs. Puppies should NEVER be given as presents, at Christmas or any other time SIMON - stop this fundraiser and think again.....

Comments: This is disgraceful, an organisation I once thought advocated for the vunerable, giving them a voice. There is a regretful irony in your actions, clearly not well thought out. An organisation I will not support in the future if this goes ahead. Clearly the organisations needs to revisit its code of practise, how could you seriously take this organisation as a credible, understanding system. Real poor judgement, I would love to know who was consulted on this so called brain wave as clearly they are out of sync with reality.
