Name: Candace Crupi on Dec 22, 2009Comments: I think it's totally wrong to reimburse only the public schools! We already pay a large and almost impossible tuition to give our kids the best education possible. Now we're being punished for it. We are all on the brink of losing so much it's not fair to ask us to give up our religon also. P.S.- What ever happened to the tax credits that we were supposed to get?Flag

Name: Kerry Ganim on Jan 15, 2010Comments: This is discrimination, and its very unfair!! I pay my taxes, and I can not afford any more taxes, this will make me want to think again about living in NY. I am able to send my children to catholic school, and feel that our catholic schools are certainly forgotten, and treated are being treated unfairly.Flag

Name: Mr. & Mrs. Stephen Picciurro on Jan 15, 2010Comments: As the parents of children in Catholic school we are outraged that another expense is being added on to the parents again. We have four children attend catholic school and it is a struggle to keep up with the tution and the expense. The MTA, which clearly cannot manage money, wants more. Families are already struggling to keep food on the table and a roof over their childrens heads and now the MTA wants more. The state is holding back monies it owes and they should be forced to pay.Flag

Name: Joanne Chan on Jan 15, 2010Comments: Please stop the state from discriminating against non public schools and provide the Catholic institutions with the support they deserve and their financial entitlement. Also, please create tuition tax credits for parents who send their children to private schools. Thank you!Flag

Name: Annette Bellman on Jan 19, 2010Comments: Why don't they cut the Public School teacher's salaries, give them the same pay as a Catholic and Non-Public school teacher gets and use that money to bail out the MTA? Or better yet, instead of giving the Public School teachers, who cannot teach anymore, overpaid, non-teaching positions because "They can't be fired", land use that money to bail out the MTA!Flag
