As a Northwestern Wildcats fan, I would like to voice my support for the continuation of Northwestern’s Varsity Dance Team, known as the Ladycats. The Ladycats are a vital part of our athletic tradition and sporting events, having cheered on the ‘Cats for decades and given countless hours of time and energy to promoting school spirit. The Ladycats need to continue to be part of the Athletic Department as a recognized sport separate from cheerleading, as they have been in the past. I believe that the Ladycats performance has consistently been of exceptional quality and entertaining for fans, and I value having them dance at athletic events. Please keep the Ladycats in the Athletic Department, Northwestern University would not be the same without them.
