Hello my name is Scott Wilson and I am the Manager of Northumberland Designated Driver Services. We are a locally owned and run company who has been devoted to Northumberland County as a Designated Driver Service for almost 5 years. We currently employee several local drivers and offer some of the most competitive rates in our area. We not only get you home safe, we also get your vehicle home safe. Our goal is to stop Drinking and Driving in Cobourg and Port Hope and make these communities safe for our children and residents. To this point we have run a very dependable and reputable company! As of August 15th 2014 a outside Designated Driver Service by the name of Peoples Choice came into Northumberland County have been trying shut down the services we offer to Northumberland County. Since they have come into the area they have been providing customers with false information such as that the company is not registered and does not carry valid general liability insurance to cover customers and their cars if an accident should happen. This is completely false. They have also been undercutting our cost instead of offering a comparable rates. These are very bad business practices. There is a difference between being a competitive local company and being a large corporation trying to bully the locally owned business we run. We are asking for your support in our community to keep Northumberland Designated Driver Service available to Northumberland County and Area. Please sign our Petition!!!
