We, the following members of Northstar PTO, are asking to place Sister Lubna Achikzai in an official position within the Northstar Community. We understand she will no longer be the Northstar Board Chairperson effective January 2011, but we the undersigned agree she is needed in an official capacity within the Northstar Community. Her strengths are her "people skills", seeing a vision for Northstar, and her ability to network and effectively connect people, keeping alive the communication between the Board, the PTO, the parents and the staff. She is valuable during parent interviews and staff interviews. She has worked tirelessly throughout her term on the Board as well as before becoming an official Board member when Northstar was beginning. We cannot lose her assets nor can we pretend this position as a "connector" is not needed within the Northstar school. She gets things done and she is needed. Let us show our support for creating a new "position" for Sister Lubna, "Director of Public Affairs".
