Car Park in North Lodge Park, Cromer, Norfolk, UK

The petition

North Norfolk District Council propose to construct a car park on a substantial area of North Lodge Park in Cromer, Norfolk. This is the only urban coastal park in the district.

Many visitors and locals alike enjoy the tranquility of the park. This proposal is not solely to serve visitors to the park; NNDC are merely using a cheap site to provide parking for a 'perceived' commercial need.

This online petition has been raised by The Friends of North Lodge Park, and 99% of local respondents have already expressed their opposition. We believe that the 'perceived' need is unsubstantiated. There is already ample car parking provision in the town to satisfy demand.

This petition will be used to support our discussions with the promoting authority.
