Comments: 1. I completely agree in this because you cannot hold so much land from a small island and not take care of it on the basis of "some day" it "may" be needed again for military purposes. It won't be suitable for military purposes or it will take much manwork and finances in order to properly prepare it. IN THE MEANTIME, while we're waiting for this war that may never come - at least in our lifetime, let the people of Tinian and our children enjoy it properly by giving it to National Parks Services or our own DLNR. 2. The federal government should also be financially responsible, in conjunction with the overseeing and participation of our own local government, of running a up-to-date, thorough and scientifically sufficient testing of all grounds and water supplies on Tinian as to any traces of harmful chemicals leftover by not only the continuous bombing, but the housing of so many B52s and military vehicles, and not to mention (am I mentioning) the construction of an atomic bomb.

Comments: This is a piece of history that everyone, including our future generations, should have access to. If we don't restore Northfield, it is gone forever. If we preserve it, the lessons learnt and the sacrifice's made by the men and women before us are not forgotten.

Comments: IT WOULD BE A WISE DECISION TO RELEASE FROM COMNAVMAR THE CONTROL OVER THE TINIAN NORTHFIELD IF THE GOVT. OF CNMI DOES NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES TO MAINTAIN IT OR ANY OTHER HISTORICAL MONUMENT WHICH MUST BE PRESERVED FOR FUTURE GENERATION.

Comments: Raised in the Island of Tinian, in which my heart calls "HOME", should definitely be preserved or maintained. Not only for our future generations(my children & theirs)but because a tiny island itself, has a whole story behind it!
