Name: Anonymous on Mar 23, 2009Comments: We feel the market is an integral part of the shopping experience in Northampton and with a recession threatening is vital to give people a chance to buy goods at honest prices. Retailing is changing, shops will be closing because of the high cost of rents and rates, out of town shopping will lose its edge and people will look to the market more for their shopping trips. Market traders need more support confident that their councillors appreciate their role in Northampton shopping. Retail is changing.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 23, 2009Comments: I see no point in enlarging the "entertainment" area as nobody seems to take much notice of what goes on there anyway, I suggest leaving things as they are. Better still, reduce the amount the stallowners have to pay to the council (or to whoever "owns" the space) to encourage more business, money and variety to the market place.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Apr 13, 2009Comments: The council have no experience at working as market traders and therefore should take advise from working market traders. The cost of the stall covers should be investigated as they are extremely expensive compared to the best quality covers available. -laying loud music when shopping is very disturbing and .and is not helpful in comunicating with the stall holders.Flag
