We need a university for the North Western Province of Zambia Now! The bulk of this nation’s foreign exchange earnings currently comes from this region, indeed if the country’s economy is booming, it is thanks to North Western Province mainly! The cries of the people on matters of development continues to fall on contemptuous deaf ears. The money is there! You only have to look at the frenzied, fever pitch rate of infrastructural developmental projects being currently undertaken in some choice regions of this country At the current rate of mining activity going on, the people of the risk ending up with nothing to show for their unselfish contribution to Zambia but a region defaced and pockmarked like the lunar surface It proposed the University be specialized in Mining, Metallurgy and Agriculture and be located in Kabompo in order to spread out development in the region
