Name: Caitlin Hayward-Tapp on Oct 27, 2009Comments: It amazes me that anyone can think that what Roman Polanski did is forgiveable, or legal. That the petition for his release even exists is a sign of how readily our society will forgive celebrities for even the most heinous of crimes. That other celebrities, so frequently in the press that they have become role models for our society, could petition for the release of a child-rapist is unbelievable, and irresponsible.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 27, 2009Comments: Dear Ms. Thompson: Please reconsider your stance on the Polanski rape case. Polanski is a fugitive criminal and he deserves no special protections because of his status in the artistic community. I have always admired your outspoken defense of women in other circumstances!Flag
