To the members of the Cleveland NORMLS board, Way back in 2008 when I had a website designed for my real estate business I was told by Normls that I could not have direct access to IDX. (internet Data Exchange) My only choice was to have my brokerage site framed into my website, which not only looks cumbersome but is almost a guarantee that I will lose the leads I work so hard to get, to other agents in my market. The time has come but in reality has long since passed for agents to have direct access to the IDX for use on our websites and blogs. It is time to make it a level playing field for all and it certainly is not that now. Several agents/companies get around this issue by making sure that some part of their company name can be found in the url address but my url is my name and has been for 4 years. I have yet to be given a reasonable explanation as to why we cannot have direct access, although I have asked many times. In the interest of fairness, please allow direct IDX access for those agents who wish to have it.
