Dear readers,
An online petition is requesting our Governor to grant Paris Hilton a pardon, because her 45 day jail sentence is "unfair."
This is insane.
She broke the law. Her "beauty" does not excuse her behavior, and should not trump a determination of a Superior Court Judge. As a celebrity, her influence is undeniable, and to pardon her for crimes that all too frequently lead to injury or death, sends a message that drunk driving is not a serious issue.
