However, the parallel record model used for other language cataloging agencies might more sense until final decisions are made. On the other hand, as an Authority Control/Database Maintenance Librarian, messing with the Authority file is a BAD IDEA. Multiple headings for an author or subject play havoc with automated authority processing, may result in circular references, and cause confusion for end users.

    Comments (optional; will display): I wish to remind those large institutions testing and creating this that smaller libraries are under the gun from all sides in regard to budgets and training. I simply do not know how we can be expected to learn and understand RDA/FRBR/FRAD which primarily seems to be concerned with renaming concepts and materials that already have perfectly functional non-jargony names. I also find it amazing that this project has gotten as far as it has with almost zero (if indeed ANY) input from people on the front lines of smaller, understaffed and underfunded libraries.
