We the undersigned petition the Mayor of London to take swift action to prevent the RMT union from striking further and holding London's economy to ransom. We believe these strikes are NOT in our best interests as passengers and therefore request that the Mayor of London take action for the greater good. It is not fair or acceptable that Londoners are repeatedly inconvenienced in this way. Our beautiful city is facing a major recession as it is: -We are eager to work hard and survive. -We are doing everything we can to find jobs (for those recently made redundant). -We are hopeful that we will overcome these tough times because we are united. -We want to LIVE! It is time for positive change and we implore you to take action on our behalf. Please put a stop to these tube strikes. Our transport system must not be used against us in this way. Let's keep London moving!

4 years ago Comments: I am not against people's right to strike or protest, however the transport unions are abusing this right. Tube drivers already earn too much money when compared to professions such as teachers and nurses. The fares for public transport are already too high when compared to the service that is delivered. Our transport system is fast becoming a laughing stock and these strikes seem motivated by greed alone. Surely they all knew the pay structures when they applied for the jobs.
