Name: Riannon Sernek on Nov 7, 2006Comments: This is an incredibly enormous problem that is growing more and more in the entertainment industry. It's really depressing when events are sold out in record amounts of time due to ticket scalpers. it's poor. Steps must be made to fix the problem, as the current attempts are not working.Flag

Name: Hayley Tolley on Nov 8, 2006Comments: Ticket touts make me very angry. I very nearly missed out on tickets to see Muse because they sold out so fast and were on ebay in mere minutes. If the extra date hadn't been added I'd have no tickets at all. The same goes for Radiohead. When the tickets went on sale people were queing for them and I missed out again, ebay would have been my only choice if it wasn't for the fact the tickets were being sold for well overFlag

Name: Anonymous on Nov 8, 2006Comments: I completely agree. I even purchased tickets legitimately for The Killers only to have them cancelled by seetickets.com two hours later because to many tickets where being put on ebay! I was livid to say the least! I understand touts are scum but there has to be a better answer, plus now with pre-sales links and even pre, pre-sales links appearing it's getting stupid. Good luck!Flag

Name: T.Gargett on Nov 8, 2006Comments: I dont think that tickets being sold on auction sites or sites similar to these sites because for genuine reasons people may need to sell them, or the situation that i find myself in is that the tickets run out but i still wanna go so i will buy them for a reasonable price. The idea of an ebay cap is a good one but how will the cap work because there are many different sized gigs for different bands that are cheaper than say the mainstream bandsFlag

Name: Tina Pennington on Nov 10, 2006Comments: At last! someone who is bright enough to actually kick start an action where hopefully might put a stop to this. It breaks my heart when young skint genuine fans can't see their idols because of these scavengers, I am speaking about the recent issue with the "Kylie" tickets - well done Kylie also for recognising this. I constantly have this problem with a lot of bands I want to see but I refuse to allow these people to make money out of it, its just a pity some people fall into this trap and end up being ripped off royally. I take my hat off to you for doing this. I for one am behind you 110% and please let me know if I can do anything else to help try and stop these ar*eholes squeezing hard earned cash out of people sometimes at the expense of charities. Disgusting!!!!! TinaFlag

Name: Gemma Clark on Nov 10, 2006Comments: I was thinking of setting up a petition myself. It really gets on my nerves when I can't get tickets for bands with only one album out (Bloc Party), all down to e-bay touts. Then there's The Killers sold out within minutes... I'm personally boycotting e-bay. But there needs to be more done by the venues to sort this problem out, or else the only people gaining are the touts.Flag

Name: Jenni Dempsey on Nov 10, 2006Comments: Hear hear. I like Tessa Jowell's idea of making tickets refundable at face value. The only reason i'd sell a ticket on ebay is if i couldn't go to the event, and knew no-one who wanted the ticket. This way you havent wasted your money.Flag

Recently had to travel to Hamburg to see the Killers - it was the best gig we'd ever been to and well worth the trip but would have been nice to see them somewhere more local. It's outrageous that the die hard fans cannot get tickets in the proper manner.Flag
