Comments: Why do we do this sharply at one moment As it mentioned, maybe some of the family would like to stay their adopted school until graduated. Smothly transition depending on different request maybe better to most of the family.

Comments: It would be great for all the kids to finish their elementary school with the classmates and friends that they have made over the past few years. It will not be in their best interests to be pulled from their environs.

Comments: The majority of families would prefer to stay at their current school. Wouldn't it be better to gradually phase in the changes to minimize disruption

Comments: As a parent, I deeply resent being told that my child (or any other child) can no longer attend their neighborhood school, but instead must attend a school that is much farther away. Such a reschuffling is very bad for all the children involved!!!!

Comments: I'm so glad to hear that studies confirm what we parents already know -- changing schools is stressful to children! Our children are not just "numbers" to be moved around! Please respect their emotional needs and let them stay with their friends and teachers.

Comments: We can easily walk to our current school, Almond, and there are sidewalks and crosswalks in place to facilitate that. Our new school is too far to walk for our young kids and there are no sidewalks in place that would facilitate walking or riding when our kids are older. Plus, everyone in my neighborhood will have to turn left across morning rush hour traffic jams onto Springer every morning at 8am. It will be a mess. The Board has decided to increase LASD's carbon footprint in proportion to everyone's aggravation level. Nice job. When are the next elections
